Supply Chain & Procurement Director

Our client, an international industrial company, is looking for a Supply Chain & Procurement Director, responsible for defining and leading the end-to-end supply chain and procurement strategy across the organization at Europe level.

The position oversees all supply chain activities, including planning, logistics, procurement, supplier management and continuous improvement initiatives, while acting as a key strategic partner to senior management and being part of the board.

Key responsibilities

Supply Chain Leadership

• Define and implement the overall supply chain strategy in line with business priorities
• Oversee planning, logistics, inventory management and material flows to achieve cost, service and flexibility targets
• Drive harmonisation and optimisation of supply chain processes
• Lead capacity planning and sourcing strategies to ensure operational continuity and scalability
• Develop and leverage supply chain systems, data and reporting to support decision-making

Procurement Oversight

• Provide strategic leadership over procurement activities
• Manage and develop the procurement organisation, including two direct reports
• Ensure robust supplier selection, negotiation, contract management and risk assessment processes
• Drive sustainable cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality, compliance and supply security
• Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics and supplier performance to anticipate risks and opportunities

Financial & Governance Responsibilities

• Own supply chain and procurement budgets, cost control and performance reporting
• Contribute to financial planning, profitability improvement initiatives and business cases
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, controls and governance standards
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on supply chain and procurement topics
• Collaborate closely with operations, finance, sales and technical teams
• Lead, develop and engage teams, fostering a performance-driven and continuous improvement culture

Profile & requirements

• Senior experience in supply chain leadership roles, with solid exposure to procurement at strategic level
• Strong background in complex, industrial or manufacturing environments
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage change
• Strong analytical, negotiation and decision-making skills
• High level of autonomy, integrity and results orientation
• Fluent English required
