About the Integrated Aviation Risk Department
The Integrated Aviation Risk Department (IARD) ensures a coordinated approach to the management of
safety, security, and cybersecurity risks across SPARFELL's flight operations and maintenance activities.
It integrates the organization's safety management system (SMS), security management system (SeMS), and
information security management system (ISMS) under a single governance structure to support proactive
risk identification, data-driven performance monitoring, and continuous improvement in accordance with
ICAO Annex 19, EASA Part-ORO.GEN.200, EASA Part-CAMO.A.200, ICAO Annex 17, EASA Part-IS, and IS-BAO
standards.
Key Functions:
• Oversight of the company's Integrated Aviation Risk Management System1.
• Management of the occurrence reporting and investigation process.
• Administration of the Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) and aviation risk performance program.
• Maintenance of safety, security, and information security (risk) performance indicators (RPIs).
• Coordination of emergency preparedness and risk communication.

Role Purpose:
The Aviation Risk Analyst (ARA) provides analytical, administrative, and operational support to the Integrated
Aviation Risk Department (IARD). The role assists the Chief Aviation Risk Officer (CARO) in maintaining the
Integrated Aviation Risk Management System, supports the Aviation Integrated Occurrence Manager (AIOM)
in occurrence management and safety/security/information security reporting, and assists the Aviation
Integrated Risk Performance Manager (AIRPM) with the Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) program and routine
monitoring of the risk performance indicators (RPIs).
This function is essential for ensuring timely processing of risk data, robust analysis, and effective safety,
security, and information security risk oversight across SPARFELL's flight operations and maintenance
activities.

Senningerberg, Luxembourg.
Type:
Full-time, office-based, with the possibility of working from home occasionally.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Administer and analyze all safety, security, and information security occurrence or hazard reports,
ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timely acknowledgment to reporters.
• Support or lead investigations in accordance with the Aviation Risk Management System Manual,
applying structured analysis into contributing factors and risk controls.
• Conduct initial and final risk assessments for occurrence and hazard reports, allocate action items,
and monitor their completion and effectiveness.
• Report mandatory occurrences to relevant Civil Aviation Authorities (CAAs) and maintain compliance
with reporting timelines and formats.
• Maintain the occurrence database and ensure accurate classification, risk scoring, and trending.
• Develop and distribute safety, security, and information security notices, advisories, and bulletins.
• Establish a link between the IARD and other departments and assist nominated persons and
department heads in aviation risk-related matters
• Support the CARO in conducting comprehensive risk assessments and hazard analyses.
• Assist with the periodic review and update of the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and contribute to
ERP drills and post-exercise evaluations.
• Support continuous improvement of departmental strategies, manuals, forms, and risk management
documentation.
• Assist the AIRPM in the maintenance of the FDM program, identifying operational trends, deviations,
and emerging risks.
• Provide flight data analysis in support of occurrence investigations and validate the context of FDM
events.
• Develop and maintain Risk Performance Indicators (RPIs) across safety, security, and information
security domains, integrating data from FDM, iQSMS (internal reporting system), and other sources.
Secondary Responsibilities:
• Contribute articles and content for company-wide risk and safety promotion initiatives.
• Deliver internal risk awareness and reporting system training to crew and office staff.
• Conduct crew debriefings on significant FDM events and encourage reporting when necessary.
• Produce or maintain integrated risk and performance dashboards for management and the Safety
Review Board, highlighting trends and risk hotspots.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the CARO, AIOM, or AIRPM.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
• Background in, or strong foundational knowledge of, aviation operations (flight operations,
maintenance, dispatch, or related functions).
• Training in, or familiarity with, Safety Management System (SMS) principles (ICAO Annex 19, EASA
ORO.GEN.200, IS-BAO, or equivalent).
• Experience with aviation reporting systems (e.g., iQSMS, Centrik, or similar tools).
• Basic understanding of security and information security risk concepts.
• Knowledge of Flight Data Monitoring (FDM/FOQA) programs and operational data sources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear summaries,
reports, bulletins, and conduct safety interviews.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and
work with technical information.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for training and meetings.
• Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Desirable:
• Knowledge of tools for data analysis (e.g. Excel, Power BI, etc.)
