We are collaborating with a globally leading industrial company to recruit a Procurement Manager - Europe.
This role is responsible for the cost-effective procurement of raw materials while ensuring quality standards and full compliance with company policies and procedures. A key focus of the role includes identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and securing the most cost-efficient deals to support business objectives.
Reporting Line:
Reports functionally to the Director of Procurement and Supply Chain
Key Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including pre-qualification, supplier negotiations, contract preparation, and spot buying.
• Develop annual procurement plans aligned with forecasted demand for products and services.
• Continuously identify opportunities for performance improvement and cost optimization.
• Identify and assess potential new suppliers while nurturing strong relationships with existing partners.
• Conduct market research to identify the best suppliers and products based on cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor contracts and their execution, ensuring service quality, cost control, and timely invoice/payment management.
• Act as a key liaison between suppliers, manufacturers, internal departments, and customers.
• Track and forecast pricing trends and assess their impact on procurement strategy.
• Evaluate supplier financial stability and potential risks.
• Deliver market intelligence and drive sustainable cost-saving initiatives.
• Review bids and make informed recommendations based on both commercial and technical evaluations.
Qualifications & Profile
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent education).
• Proven negotiation skills with a strong commercial mindset.
• Entrepreneurial approach with a drive for innovation and efficiency.
• Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Proficient in IT tools relevant to procurement and supply chain functions.
• Comfortable managing a broad portfolio of projects and priorities.
• Ambitious and motivated to grow within the organization.
