ArcelorMittal has launched an initiative to improve Process Safety Management (PSM) across Group level, covering both steel and mining. As part of this initiative, ArcelorMittal is looking for a professional, who takes the responsibility of following assignments at group level & unit level as per Corporate strategy from a third line of defence (independent audit) perspective.

Establishment and execution of a risk-based audit plan
Assessment of implementation of PSM
Compliance of PSM and
Feedback through audit reports
Job Summary:

Process Safety Management Lead is responsible for Heading and coordinating Process Safety Management (PSM) assurance activities (3rd Line), across the group. PSM is part of Group Assurance and work as an independent body. Incumbent will be responsible for implementation of independent audits of PSM, to ensure compliance with ArcelorMittal Group and regulatory standards to maintain the safety of operations.

The role involves the identification, analysis, and mitigation of risks associated with processes, ensuring the protection of people, the environment, and assets. The Process Safety Head will collaborate closely with various PSM Managers of Unit/ Segment level within group.

Key Performance Indicators:

Ensure the commitment to process safety management
Establish a hazard evaluation and risk analysis programme
Provide support during Implementation and maintain a process safety risk management and control system
Strive to excellence in learning from experience
Maintain a sense of vulnerability in process safety management
Ensure the process safety culture within the organization, promoting awareness and adherence to PSM practices at all levels.
Conduct and oversee risk assessments and independent audits (e.g., HAZOPs, LOPA, FMEA), including defining recommendations and follow-up implement mitigation measures to reduce process-related risks.
Ensure compliance with Group PSM regulations & standards.
Ensure the proper feedback system in place for the PSM

Reporting structure:

Head of PSM will report to Head of Global Assurance. Incumbent has to collaborate with various PSM Managers of Unit/ Segment level within ArcelorMittal Group and Regional Heads of Global Assurance.

Operating location:

Luxembourg office or anywhere in Europe.

Qualification : Graduate Engineer with about 20 years of experience in Industrial safety and Process Safety Management type of role in relevant industry. Mix of Steel, Mining and Oil & Gas would be an ideal mix.

Mobility:

Incumbent has to be globally mobile and may require to travel to different ArcelorMittal plants and offices.

International travel: 60%

Domestic travel: 40%
