ACCOUNTANT USGAAP


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to oversee our financial audits and ensure compliance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

Key Responsibilities:

    • Day-to-Day Accounting: Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
    • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
    • Record Maintenance: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, receipts, and documentation for all transactions.
    • Budget Support: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
    • Compliance Assurance: Ensure financial practices comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Process Improvement: Recommend improvements to accounting workflows, tools, and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
    • Tax Support: Assist with preparation and organization of financial data for tax filings and work with external tax professionals as needed.
    • Software Management: Use financial software such as QuickBooks Online to manage company accounts and generate reports.
    • Internal Controls: Help implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Accountant, with a strong grasp of accounting principles and US GAAP.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, and strong Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail with excellent accuracy in record-keeping and reconciliation tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and reliably in a remote environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; certification (e.g., CPACB) is a plus.
  • Experience in a startup or tech environment is advantageous, but not required.
